would like my thesis to look as impressive as possible for submission.
Which form of binding do you suggest? |

What margins are required for binding? We prefer 3cm on the spine or binding edge for sewing and 2cm on the 3 other edges. If you have used Word to produce your work then standard margins will be acceptable. Ensure that fold-outs and diagrams produced have reasonable margins and that page numbers, headers and footers are away from the edge. |

I have a pocket at the back? Yes, we can supply pockets for maps, CD Roms, floppys, etc. |

| Do
you do soft binding/comb-binding? Yes, all forms and any thickness. |
||
| Do
you do soft binding with an acetate front and card back? Yes |
||
| Is
gold lettering the only option? Gold is required for Cambridge submission copies. For yourselves we can offer silver or black also. |

| I
would like my personal thesis to look different from submission copies.
Do you offer anything? Yes, many options. Please ask when you bring your submission copies. |

| Do
I need to book for the 24 hour service? No, just remember the 8.30am deadline. |
||
| If
I do not require the 24 hour service, what other service do you offer? 2-3 days. |

| What
are your opening hours? Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5pm. |

| Are
you open on Saturdays? 90% of the time we are open between 10am - midday, this is for drop offs and collections only so please ring first. |

| Do
you print as well as bind? No, we bind only. But go to Printing |

| Can
I post my book / thesis to you? Yes you can, please enclose all contact details and if your thesis is not Cambridge University then we need to know your binding specifications. |

| What
paper should I use? 80grm is normally used. Different papers react to different printers so do a test to see if the print smudges by running your fingers over the first page you print. If it does you have made the wrong choice. |

| What
are the Cambridge University Ph.D. binding specifications? Must be hard bound copies. Case colour is your choice. We have a range of approximately 40 colours. Title, initials, and surname must appear on the spine only running from top to bottom. Comb-binding / spiral binding will not be accepted. |

| Can
you deliver my thesis to BOGS
in Cambridge and/or my College/Department? Yes, we offer this service Mon AM, Wed AM, Fri AM. |

| Can
I park easily outside your premises? Yes, and it's free! |

| If
coming by taxi, what company would you recommend? Panther Taxis on 01223 715715 and remember if you are using the 24 hour service - taxis are very busy at that time of the morning so we advise booking one in advance. |

you open on Bank Holidays? No, but you can still contact us with any queries by phone or e-mail. |
